The Black Box

You hide your face from me, why don't you feel ashamed?

And all the while you pretend that it's a game

A speck's in my eye but you have a two by four

And you don't seem to care

In public you smile but then when my back is turned you say that it's unfair

You think you're smooth but I'm aware

So like a dove I'll rise above and peacefully embrace the flight

While looking down and knowing you won't reach this height

I wish you well, but you don't feel the same

For every bump in life you look to me to blame
