Don't Do It

You knew from early on which path you'd go on

And when you'd chosen your road, you'd want to stay on

You'd known some who had suffered from it, some nearly gone

But as soon as they got offered, you so gladly took one

You'd swallowed what they told you, hook and line

I was surprised and concerned and disappointed at the time

But You believed it would protect you and then you'd be fine

Can't you see yet you're the victim of a crime?

You're an awesome person in so many different ways

In better times I couldn't give you near enough praise

But this whole situation you so wrongly appraised

I don't want you to end your own days
