When I saw you my life began, we were kids back then

I didn't know how to tell you what I was thinking

Crazy ideas running thru my head, I was tongue tied, turning red

The more I spoke the more my hopes were sinking

Took out my pocketknife, gonna make it plain to see

In the backyard carved our names, into that big old willow tree
