What causes this stagnancy

A lack of air left for me to breathe

I found comfort in ambiguity

While you settle for bad company

What if you lose interest

Or catch me counting down the minutes

I flipped compliments to avoid arguments

And discussions I doubt we'd finish

Conversations we couldn't have in English

Impressions revisited often times resurface with new purpose
