I Wish

When I was a boy, I tied to please everyone

I realised, that was an impossible task

So, I figured, I would just, please myself

That turned out to be all wrong too

I wish I could have been better

I wish I could have reached the stars

All the wishes, piled up, darkened the sun

Now I wish I could do it all again

When I look back, I can see where I went wrong

I listened to too many voices, when I should have followed one
