Never considered myself much of an author until you wrote yourself into my life

So many details I had to change to make it write

The lonely nights filled with writer's block have made me realize

That I simply cannot survive without you by my side

And so I picked up a pen and I changed the plot line

Spilled your crimson ink all over the spine

And in the process I've realized how I had been color blind

You stained the pages red and said you loved me

Well that must have been a lie

Must have been the biggest plot twist of your life

Now you're the poison in my morning coffee
