Lord, I Need You

My intentions were built on a shaky foundation

This earthquake I call a life is breaking my patience

While the dark side calls my flesh

Weak at the moment, my prayers will mesh

I almost said wont-my thoughts are a mess

Failing to see the obvious and failing this test

For all who see- I’m just like you

Traveling through life at a speed we can’t peruse

Until plans start to fall then goals pursuit

Chasing at a speed worth defying my youth

Twenty-seven now I’m lost in this coupe

With a soul who’s comfortable with living life on a loop
