Betrayed

Despair is all I feel, all I see is red

Return from council, left perplexed

The night began with such promise, I couldn't lose

But the council chose this fate, my words have fallen on deaf ears

Back from the trek in the treacherous wild, secrets are being spilled

The sacrifice showed who's in control and where all loyalties lie

I cannot understand why the council has chose this fate

But now she's gone and I'm left confused

I can't believe her actions, I've been betrayed
