Reign

I was there, I saw them swear and spit out His name

I was there, I saw His nakedness and His shame

I was there when they put the crown of thorns on His head

And laughed while He bled

When they pushed him up that hill called Calveray…that was for me

I was there when they drove the nails into His hands and feet

I was there when they challenged Him to set Himself free

I was there when they pierced His side and gambled for His clothes

And mocked Him, "King of the Jews"

When He breathed His last and died there on that tree…that was for me
