I know the patterns I follow

Clutching to the light of every little thing that glows

I am a slave to my own soul

The same soul that reaches out and grasps a thorny rose

I never thought that this would be a horrid oversight

Trust a devil who showers kisses before bites

You came before me dressed in poisonous spite

I will fall to you before the end of night

I'll never fall for your games again

The lies you sow are written into history

Or so I say, but I wipe the blood up and drink it all again
