When I was a little child, I never had time to cry

Kept it hidden deep inside, never faced the reasons why

We always followed the rules, living in a fog as time passed by

Of all those things we learned in school, we never learned to cry

Now we find we're on the edge of a world of fear and longing

Is confusion just a wedge till we find there's no bottom

I'd love a perfect life, well that would be so cool

I'd love a perfect world, where we would never have to choose

My life was paradise, and now there's lines around your eyes
