Lighthouse

My eyes deceive me further and further from the shore

This water is freezing, I feel it shake me to my core

Yet I swim against the tide one more time

One more day to feel this icy ocean numb my mind

Still clear water lies ahead, easier to be said

But once your chest hits the sand

You're gonna pick yourself up, the sun will wash away all your tears

I see the lighthouse shining its beacon just for me

Saying don't let the rogue wave swallow and strand you out to sea

Sell off your only soul, put tens, then hundreds, thousands out on loan
