Sleeping, resting, dormant, covered in ashes

The heat turns to cold and colds fell on the lashes

No air or space to move, I forgot how to breathe

But I'm sitting here in silence covered in these black leaves

My skin feels different, my body feels light

But my heart is still pumping and something grips my soul tight

My mind is still and my head is calm

My eyes feel refreshed, the dust is in my palms

It's been months since they left, have they truly gone
