DAWN'S LIGHT

I woke up this morning at dawn's first ray of light

I thank the Lord, as I always do, for taking me through the night

I ask Him for His strength each day, without Him I would have none

But as long as I put my trust in Him, I know my burdens are gone

You see, He's all I have, He gives me all I need

And I can ask Him for almost anything, and He will meet my needs

And I talk to Him when sleep won't come, and I know He hears my prayers

And as I begin to fall asleep, I thank my Lord for being there

I never ask Him out of lust, that He would never give

I ask Him only in His name, and of His precious will
