Feels like a lifetime ago, but still only yesterday

You took me in your arms and said how long you wanted it this way

I trusted you, I held onto all the promises you made

Turns out, I was never your endgame

But after the shock, the hurt of everything you put me through

I was left to put the broken pieces of my heart back together too

While you moved on and did what your ego needed to,

I stayed here, stuck to memories of you like glue
