Landlubber

I left my wife and children laying in their graves

That sickness come and took 'em, left me here to stay

And so I sail this wretched sea, my empty soul my company

There's water, water everywhere and I've had too much to drink

Our captain slumbered at the wheel, ran our ship ashore

We pillaged her from stern to bow, stripped her to the core

And as her ashes danced away, a siren song began to play

That old ghost of a melody that haunts me to this day

Now everything's grown gray and cold

Salt cracked lips and fish-hook toes
