I was 10 when i saw my first dead body, sat quiet at the funeral in shock

My momma cryin' and I'm dry eyed, my friend's mother had been shot

What a loss, I remember she was gorgeous and unique

As i walked up to the casket saw the plastic on her cheek

With her body wrapped in sheets, I cannot move my feet, I've never seen someone look so at peace huh

Momma said she was impressed with me, from the way I held my own and didn't cry
