City Life

I grew up and I moved to the city

It seemed like the right place to be

The days here are long and the nights stay young

Until you're no longer young and naive

I got hired on at the dealer

I'm paid well enough to turn a wrench

I can't help but wonder where the hours all go

Where they could've been better spent

I feel young and old and like I won't ever let go

Of all these offhand vices that I've come to know
