Plastic Spoon

With a plastic spoon digging through concrete

There's room to move in three more feet

One day I'll be gone through a hole in the floor

With no choice-through the shit I'll row

Freedom lost freedom found-freedom through a hole in the ground

Life moving inside me, seeking liberation I free what I see with paper and pen

You can't be told in pictures you just have to read

These cruelties don't go unremarked-etched in memory

With pen and paper stolen time's found-now written down

With a plastic spoon against concrete I finish the work just to feel free
