I guess it's a tradition at this point

Each year I get more annoyed

Just a tiny bit

Less of an optimist

And each trip that we make around the sun

I'm a little bit more done

A little more defeated

Yeah, just what we needed

Was a war and an inflation and the globe still heating up

Still a little bit of a pandemic although most people forgot

Human rights are treated like they're a voluntary thing
