Old Crow

I was sitting on a mountain side in the noonday light just pondering life

When a black bird flew into sight and silently passed me by

Well I wandered through my thoughts and wondered if he knew which was home

And I wished that I could follow him so that neither us would have to be alone

I said: old crow you don't know the confusion and fear

Catch the wind and go and soon you will disappear

Yesterday is history and tomorrow's still a mystery, yeah but today that's a gift

Will I find the answers in my travels or will it be something that I miss

In my life I just float along, watching it pass me by from afar

Like the black bird I can't be wrong if neither of us take any part
