I was thinking about the artists I like

And it seems that the ones who don't die young

Only grow to become more dull and drab

And get older to lose the flame they had

And it's... It's kind of sad

That even the ones with the brightest dreams

Who did the hardest things to reach the highest peaks

Only seem to die out after achieving what they wished

I've seen how the waves of the daily life

Slowly erode the shores of your shining light

Gently wash your passion and your will to fight
