Imagine there's no heaven when you're dying and in pain

It's easy if you try and you turn off half your brain

No hell below us but nothing real to gain

Above us only sky as you circle round the drain

Imagine all the people living for today

Forgetting all about you as they run outside to play

Imagine there's no countries just commies east and west

It isn't hard to do when you're under house arrest

Nothing to kill or die for as long as you've confessed

And no religion too but the chairman must be blessed
