When did being kind, become so wrong

Does anyone really try, to even get along

Everyone has their ups and downs

Some see the sun, while others, they only see the clouds

But I try to believe in being kind

So if I say that you should smile, I'm not telling you what to do

I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm only saying I wish you would

So if I say you should smile, don't take it the wrong way

Maybe you misunderstood cause I, I was only trying to do something good

We look beneath the words, don't trust what others say
