Roses For Roselyn

The day I recorded this it rained real hard

But when I stepped up to the mic the sun came in bright through the window

It reminded me that even in our darkest days the Lord still shines His love

I got some roses for Roselyn mixed with a couple magnolias

Teardrops from my pen while I write this here for you

I swear home has gotten colder without your warm smile

Looking at your picture wishing you were here now

Don't know how to feel now while I'm still wiping tears

I'm just a motherless child for the rest of my years

It still gives me the chills when I see you in my dream

I know you just went home and you're hearing angels sing
