Night Sky

I know you're stressed it's written in your face

The way you wrap your arms around your neck wishing you were somewhere else instead

Wish upon a star or wish upon a lie

Either way you'll find yourself wishing to the sky

When you close your eyes where do you go

Somewhere with white sand or somewhere that feels like home

My head floats to the sky

Daydreaming I find, the stars are so much brighter

When you can touch the night

It swallows me whole in a fire
