It's raining again, like the night before

You hide under the blankets like you do every storm

I went to bed fully clothed that night

But didn't fall asleep till the sunrise

I remember the day you came to paint my nails and you chose the colours pink and black

When I asked you why, you said "it reminds me of us"

She asked "darling do you love me?" I replied "more than anything"

She said "then can you pay for the bus ride home I promise I won't leave you alone in the rain"
