Wake Your Demons

Some people raise their kids to look and think just like them

They tell them it's love to buy them the objects they taught them to want

But some kids run away as soon as they possibly can

They venture to find a place of their own to gradually haunt

Some cars run longer than they have any right to run

So you fill her with fuel, freshen her oil, and shower her with love

She flies down the desert, unaware she should long since have stopped

There's oil in the lines, blood in the oil, and sand in blood

The time has come to wake your demons

Let them roam free for the night
