Our land was stolen and culture destroyed

And their lineage just sit there and want to avoid

The truth that is said about their ancestor

And that we don't want to be seen as lesser

Than the white man who run the land

That is rightfully ours so we must take a stand

But when we do, we're made to be the bad guys

And the bad done to us is covered with a web of lies

We were made to be slaves till we were freed

Because of the men who were filled with greed

We were viewed as uncivilized and savages

And we still see the results of these damages

We were forced to assimilate without our permission

And left us in a horrible position

We weren't even given rights till the 70s

And those who treat us horribly receive no penalties

I don't get the worst of it cause I look white

But my culture doesn't end of sight

It 'a deeply rooted within my soul

And buried itself in me like a mole

But there's times where I feel I don't fit

With either cultures and I feel split

Cause I hear the comments that go against Natives

But feel too white with little culture traces
