Timmy Lafar had to walk real far

'Cause his mom sent him grocery shopping

Momma said, Timmy you can use my card

You can buy yourself something

When Tommy got to the grocery mart

His eyes were pumpin'

He found a glass mason jar

That was perfect for ladybug hunting

So he grabbed the jar off the shelf

And took it to the counter man

He said do you want anything else

Timmy said, yes, my mom's vitamins

The man said, that'll be $14.39

Are you doing cash or credit?

Timmy said, my mom gave me her credit card

The man said, that looks like debit

Timmy said, okay, you win

And handed the man the card

The man said, okay what's the pin?

Timmy said, what?

The four digit security code

Did your mom not give it?

Timmy said, uhh can I use your phone

Just for a minute?

Well the phones are down, the man said

But you can use my cell

Timmy said, okay

Timmy tried to make the call

But mama didn't answer

Timmy just then had a thought

That he would fake an answer

What mommy are you okay?

Timmy said with dread and fear

You're dying, bleeding, and turning gray

And there's fluids coming out your ear?

The counter man wasn't paying attention

Because he was raised to know that

Eavesdropping is rude in any situation

So Timmy tried to wave his hands

To get counter man's attention

Counter man didn't pay any kind

He was staring through a different dimension

So Timmy had another thought come in his mind

Because the first wasn't worth a mention

Timmy would pretend to keep up his

Mom's conversation

He put the phone on the counter

And picked up all his groceries

He tried not to stop talking

So the man wouldn't realize he's walking away

And he did it, he made it out of the grocery store with everything

And especially that very special thing

Now Timmy has the mason jar

And started catching ladybugs in it

He fed them grass and Lucky Charms

And loved them with no ending

But he kept the bugs in the jar

And kept the jar lidded

He didn't know that they needed air

And never put holes in it

And one day the ladybugs stopped moving

And poor Timmy learned that all thing must die
