Swaggies Christmas

The dust was like a mountain , blowing in a storm .

The swaggie looked for shelter away out from the harm .

He found an old bark hut there on that Christmas Eve night and

Though no were lights on the tree the stars were shining bright

Three visitors came calling from a station in the East.

The Jackaroo , flying doctor and a missionary priest .

They heard about the swaggie who was out there all alone,

With no shelter , food or water and he had no mobile phone.

It was Christmas in the out back and the swaggie found a home.

He was wrapped up safe and sound in his old drizabone.

Nothing ever changes for him its always a Swaggies Christmas.

When morning came the swaggie was gone and all that remained

Was a note on the table that said , I'm so glad that you came .
