Sometimes I'm torn (sometimes)

Between two worlds (yeah yeah)

I need to make the right choice

Or I could be dead or in jail (no no)

I need you to understand with me there is no commonality

I maintain this mentality to check in with reality

I've got to keep it real see I'm far off those with normality

But thanks to my formality I'm passing the academy

I think with practicality because I'm filled with knowledge

You see I've got it in me I could even go to college

I've been going right whilst others have been going left

I know that I am next so I keep cooking like a chef

It's a two way battle I receive both love and hate

Should I quit or not I do not need to contemplate

I know it's up to fate I'm waiting for that special date

I create and elevate that's how I know I will be great

I feel so torn lately

I'm my feelings lately

I've got a voice

I've got a choice

Sometimes it gets hard for me cause I'm sort of on the outer

That's cause some who once were close to me have started using powder

They've even got the Ganja which they chop up on the counter

And I've tried to tell them stop but I don't have that sort of power

I don't smoke or drink so I'm not invited to party's

That's why in this world I can't rely on anybody

I've got the right mentality I do it for myself

Everybody makes excuses, blames it all on mental health

I'm not touching drugs, hitting clubs with the thugs

I'm nothing like a scrub but my mum I will hug

I can't prepare for this or train for this that's why I'm feeling torn

It's too dangerous we're all too young I'm not ready to mourn

I feel so torn lately
