Lyrics
I write with my right hand, hold the mic with my left
2008 was the year that I'll never forget
I was full of respect but everybody kept hating
I was making beats every single day patiently waiting
I didn't waste any time I stayed busy writing
Recording tracks, playing it back it was exciting
I turn the volume up on max blowing out my speakers
Producing while homeboy was camping out for sneakers
It was dope we used to chill back and smoke
And freestyle, everybody seen how we spit flows
Nobody knew that I was hitting' up the streets
Late at night and tagging up the walls on the concrete
I skated around the block near the parking lot
Hit up a wall, I didn't care if it was dark or not
I stayed focused on school doing my homework
And then I went home alone and put the microphone to work
I was berserk on this shit I was addicted to it
Recording instrumentals and we used to listen to it
I was young but not dumb, everyone was fake
Ignoring all the bullshit, flowing to my beat tapes
I made albums full of music and the beats were sick
No one really heard we're like the best kept secret
Everyone was telling me that my music was lame
But I never let it get to me, they would call me insane
I couldn't remain the same, I had to change for myself
Back then I didn't really need any help
In 2010 I was still making music
Other rappers were talking loud but too afraid to do it
I was used to it, I never let it fade away
Every day I was jamming out in every single way
I let it play, it wasn't over when the beat stopped
My whole life changed when I fell in love with Hip Hop
