Trying to impress people that don't want to see me grow

When someone entices you to sin really aint a true friend

They lack the love of God so it turns out sour in the end

Now I don't get invited because im a threat to their fun

On a request to remain holy but I feel like im the only one

Aint you tired of being lonely? Don't you want to be part of a group?

If that group aint following Jesus then they don't walk in truth

Carnal minded people don't understand why you stop coming around

So they get offended and thats when they start talking down

It hurts when its your friends but even worse when its your family

The devil will use anybody to keep you out of good standing

What will a man give in exchange for his soul

Aint nothing more important than living by the words that Jesus spoke

And this world will turn against you

The Bible says you are the savior of death until death

To these people that don't know the Lord and you are

If you are what you should be as a Christian you are their enemy

And being their enemy they want to come and destroy you

The Bible says greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world

The devil will try to make you think that you are going to miss something

And God is old fashioned making you miss a little fun

But thats when satan brings the attitude of compromise

Just hang for a little while mane you aint gonna hurt nobody

But satan is a lie now instead of avoiding sin

You alone feeling guilt saying never be weak again

Wasting time out of Gods will now you got to repent

Being friends with the world is just like chasing the wind

The are going to hate you no matter what you do only love you for a minute

Dont waist time pleasing sinners please God never try to please man

People change like the weather just like changing clothes

And when you change for the better thats when they turn their nose

What fellowship has righteousness and unrighteousness

A believer and an unbeliever, light and darkness

Come out from among them don't touch what is unclean ya

Separate yourself says the Lord and He will receive ya
