Mountains danced in ancient light

A trembling song beneath our feet

When Israel walked, unshackled, free

The Jordan split, a path was made

A fearful tide at His parade

Why did you flee, O sea of despair?

Why did you leap, O mountains so bare?

The trembling earth, in awe, it cried

Before the God who turns stone to life

He carved the streams from rock-bound chains

He loosed the waters from dry plains

In His shadow, nations quake

Their idols fall, their strongholds break

O mountains high, O valleys low

You bow to Him, the one you know

His voice is thunder, soft yet clear
