Everybody's got a house and a 401k

And the only thing that I got is me

Everybody's got a kid and another on the way

Got no parents asking "what'll it be?"

Everybody's got some money saved for a rainy day

All I got is an umbrella, ya see?

Everybody's so mature and knows how to play the game

But they can't say the same for me

Cause I'm a bum

Cause I don't wanna run

To where I'm going

Down on my luck

But I don't give up

Cause it'll pick up

That's what they tell me

I pretend that I'm dumb

And I sit in the sun

And I'm having fun

Just chugging along

And being a bum

Everybody's got a job and a college degree

And I just started college in 2023

Everybody's flying around on a traveling spree

And I ain't been out of the country since 2003

Everybody's got opinions that they really believe

And I'm just floating around like a leaf in the breeze

Everybody's living life the way they want it to be

To be honest it's the same for me

Cause I'm a bum

Well some thing I'm one

Cause I don't wanna run

To where I'm going
