Their leaves stay green through scorching summer

Bearing fruit in season's time

While autumn winds shake empty branches

This tree continues to climb

Blessed is the soul that walks in truth

Far from shadows where deceivers dwell

Planted by the river, growing strong and tall

Drawing life from heaven's well

Not so those who chase the darkness

Like chaff scattered in the wind

No roots to hold when storms are raging

No shelter there to tend

But those who meditate on goodness

Day and night in heaven's law

Find strength beyond their understanding

And peace forevermore

Two paths diverge before us

One leads to life divine

Choose wisely where you journey

Let truth your heart define
