Well it's a sure thing

That I'm moving in a couple weeks

The goal is efficiently packing

So now I find myself sifting

Through all the things that I used to think that I would always want to keep

Memories included they've been weighing down on me

I've got these boxes full of shit that would be

better off replaced

If they were gone it would hardly affect me

as it feels more like wasted space

Is it a bad thing

That every couple years I think

This is it, this is the new me

The old edition came and went

So all the things that I used to see when I would fall asleep

Now missing, it's reminding me that there isn't much I should keep

Just like the moments in my mind that would be better off replaced

I start considering just how they affect me, and I brush them off as wasted space

Still frames of my life, alongside countless screws and allen wrenches

The same street signs, park paths, and benches

All this shit it is such a waste

Try to make the most of this space

with what I deem useful

But that's always changing

Based on what's around me

And what's shoved in my face

Is it still my life when I've lost all trace

one piece at a time until it's been replaced
