Lyrics
We live every day with the knowledge and awareness that at the end of the parade we will have our time to pond over the fatigues of our actions.
Sometimes it's rewarding, other times it's painful, others even scary and maybe even relaxing somehow, but the only common point is that it's necessary to our body and our mind to express ourselves when our eyes will be open again.
It's usually eight hours, but while we're in the midst of it, its length varies, it could be days, months or even a year.
It's the way our personality works, it's mysterious, it's unaccessible, but nonetheless fundamental.
It's a journey, and we would like you to come with us and experience it with our sounds.
This is here, in a dream, in a year.
I'm afraid of going late in bed at night
I might not have enough time to dream about you
Black spots on my memory
When you close your eyes nothing really matters anymore
Planning a trip to the sea for yesterday
The sunlight darkens an already hazy mind
The winter coral on the verge of crying
It's a blessed morning in a cursed millennium
What's the point in selling all of our attributes?
An aggregation of subjectivities won't pay the rent
Sad and naked, the lonely shrimp observes
Its world crumbling down, like the bridge from me to you
It's everything I felt
It's everything I felt so far and I do not want to suffer again
Cause every time I remember the mess I've made in the past I get a little shaky and I just want to disappear
There's no way I could excuse all the shit I did
But it's nothing compared to everything I should have done instead
I know you probably don't care cause you see me smiling anyway and through it all.
But I've been a terrible person. I'm still a terrible person.
I don't deserve anything.
I can't help anybody, especially myself.
Please, leave me alone once and for all.
Close the door and scream goodbye.
I won't hurt nobody anymore, but I can't do it alone.
I made a dream about you and me
A dream where we are bound to leave
Leave to a world that's better for
Other lost preys like me and you
We tied our legs to the old wood oaks
And cut our arms in a sacred war
We lost our minds in a happy hour
Now we must suffer to an endless sour
An endless shame, an endless pain
My tooth for your eye, to relieve the ache
But what does it happen when we are relieved?
We fall for the trick, undeceived
We're unique in our own ways. We're unique when we breathe, when we talk, when we think and when we act. But most of all, we're unique when we sleep. When we let our brains elaborate and recreate using as sources the enigmatic remnants of our grey matter.
No poet, no musician, no actor and no director, no figure of power and/or speech can describe what really happens in there. But, as imagination runs free through the fields of our dreams, we can let it fly even when our eyes open. We can find new challenges, new solutions, new propositions, change our mindset, our lifestyles, our tendencies, to mold ourselves in unexpected ways. It's a lesson that only dreams can teach us.
But as always, it's time to wake up now. Thank you very much for your attention.
