Learning to Pray Lyrics

Some days, I wish it all could have been good

No-good at going first, never going my way

I guess I always knew it never would

Living more in life, than just day-by-day

Wanted more to it, than I knew it could

But God kept teaching, as I learned to pray

Way back, I grew-up in my living

Still walking around, still just unforgiven

Always far away, but caught-up in the Giving

All to Holy God, not just event driven

On bended-knee, to Him I gave my heart away

And from Him it's all I need, as I learn to pray

They used to say, Kid you've had it tough

They don't know, it's where I learned to grow

God taught me how, with Holy Ground to sew

With my Lord and Savior, it's not so rough

With no father, they said, They found it sad

They didn't know, even way back then

As I was living further down in sin

My Abba cared for me; always my forever Dad

My Holy God teaches me, as I learn to pray

Glory to Him, for I will always call Him Father

From Him I have all I need, as I learn to pray
