Let's start it off begin the song with my verse

And take a look back to the day of my first

It was the first day of class and I was feelin rather fearsome

Late registration steady bumpin' in my ear buds

As a little one I prepared for the worst

It only took a little slip up to end up under the dirt

6 feet under, I avoided any blunders

So my way home today would be a bus and not a hurst

But alas, I made it to my English class

The first of many tests in the school - that I made it past

Movies I watched compared high schools to hell scapes

Once I got past the fear of the day I felt great

And thus begun my high school career

A timeframe in which I learned to fight fear

As a matter of fact, this was just the first day though

All I had to do was go four more years

It's safe to say that we've all come a long way

We've done our time and now we made it through the long days

With many accolades that we can hang up on the walls

I'm proud of you all, and I mean that in a strong way

So let's give a toast to the firsts

Raise a motherfuckin' glass for the times of the love and the hurt

So let me start by saying a couple words


For the many first steps that we take on this earth

I gotta give props to the first friends

Who stuck close with us up until the very end

The ones who supported us in every single situation

Like getting over that first crush, infatuation

And who can forget, working our first job

Counting down on the clock's hands until we're off

Saving all of that pocket change for our first dates

Then hoping that there would be more than a first date

Keep your eyes on the road because you driving now

Pedal to the metal moving forward, cuz you thriving now

Next destination was the very first function

Where you connect with those alike just like a junction

It's at this time that you might've felt your first bliss

You and a partner holding hands for a first kiss

Following that, you feel the warmth of a first love

The special someone having dreams that they could be the one
