The origin of the story then listen

See through the people to even know what lives inside of my current address

Certainly that map is inaccurate

Burning embers

Returned to senders

Evidence that this resident no longer stays here

Relocated to more stable neighborhoods.

Had the house rebuilt

That's how we feel

Newness is foreign

Truth is as boring

Not bad

No longer tortured by the uproar of monsters in the past

Dealing with the healing

Who could imagine the luxury chilling

Looking up at the ceiling

Are you willing to allow

Someone to smile

Despite the fight that's underneath

These people have a peace only recently achieved

Though they resent how they can be relieved

Accept them for who they presently make effort to grow to

And you'll know to treat them with grace and allow them to be who they need to be

Have to keep this life

Pray for the pages that daily continue to be written nonfiction
