I thought I knew myself and

Knew something of the world

But now I'm realising

How very wrong I was

As time begins to creep up

I need to choose but I'm scared

I'd love to be a man who

Knows what he's meant to be

And be a perfect person

Not just for you but me

But as I think about

I can't deny that I'm scared

My art, I often wonder

Does it hold any worth?

Will people sing my songs when

I'm ages in the dirt?

I'd love to play them to you but truthfully I'm too scared

I'm looking for a purpose

There must be something else
