So happy you got to see my million dollar smile and kinder eyes, seeing the world full of surprise

All while working on a truck that just won't run

I was a simple man, who loved six speeds and four points, stray dogs and a good horse and long nights around the fire on Scott Orchard Road

I could shoot traps, sneak a six pack, cut wood in a big stack, all before you could even ever say the word go

I loved my pawpaw and some overalls, the sign of the first frost while feeding cows with the biggest smile in the world

I was Earnhardt, I was John Wayne, I was easy to love and hard to tame

I resembled my father when he was my age

I love my family more than they will ever know

So before you go on down the road with all these hard trials and lonesome woes, remember the good times just from me

The times you cried, the times you laughed, the times I always called you back

Just remember it all how I was and how it used to be
