We enter this world everything is so new

So much to explore and so much to see

As we grow and explore with at first just a few

Then we travel afar across the land and the sea

As we learn and we seek we make our mistakes

We pick ourselves up and onwards we go

We file that away and remember each time

Learning a lesson that you reap what you sow

Sometimes we get ill and they leave us behind

Lost and alone as many pretend to be kind

We sit and wait and left wondering why

They left us alone as we sit there and cry

Our real friends will stay of that I'm sure

Helping and giving being there and more

I'm wiser because I have learnt in my life

Who stays and who goes with trouble and strife

I sit here resilient knowing where I have been

Am wiser because of what I have seen

No longer I carry the sadness I've known

But I cry with joy oh how much I've grown
