I study it

It helps me innerstand myself better

How to evolve and recalibrate for my highest good

My abnormalities make me a better person

And this person deserves to rest

I deserve days where I can unplug from technology and people

I deserve TV binges

And new food discoveries

I deserve passion projects that I may never finish

And to rest my mind from making decisions

I deserve moments of play and enjoyment

Where my inner child can feel seen

I deserve days where I don't do anything but

Mind my own black business

Productivity is a social construct

To keep me in the matrix

To keep me hustling to make someone else rich

Someone else comfortable

Someone's life easy

But redefining productivity for myself

Is what I'm pursuing

It looks like working to make myself a multi hyphenate multi earner with ease

Aligning to make my own life cozy

Productivity looks taking a mental health day when I need it

Like saying no when I don't want to go

Saying no when I don't want to do

Give or be something for someone else

Finding Joy for me feels like celebrating the small victories that are big milestones along my path

like choosing to re-parent myself instead of seeking validation from my spouse my job or my friends

Joy is being happy in my own skin doing what I want to do

In a place where I want to do it

With the people that I want to do it with

Or without people at all

Finding Joy is remembering

Just how Dope I am along this

I give myself and others grace
