Lyrics
As the thunderhead approached their seditious convoy
The cries of the parade of men echoed across the fields
And yet, it was not fear in their hearts, but joy
For it was a blissful ignorance they did wield
Alas, the storm did strike with greater strength than most could foresee
And the vessel upon which the men sat was swallowed by the rapids
For nature knows not the notion of mercy
And the crews unscathing escape she did forbid
The river quickly apprehended the crew and banished them to the depths
The once animated and potent party, now one with the river bed
Though our protagonist did manage, bruised and battered, to escape death
Dragged away through the mud by his bleeding head
Only a few figures were seen in his brief encounters with consciousness
A group of four men, two daggers on their hips, left and right
Though he does not yet know, in his unconscious bliss
That as of tonight, he is an Acolyte.
