Today I practice gratitude

I cherish the simplicity

And intricacy of existence

I'm grateful for my beautiful body

And how perfectly it carries my soul Through time and spaces

I am grateful for the weight of my chest When I exhale

And the expansion of every inhale

Each heartbeat

A testament to the miracle of life

I marvel at what it is to be alive

To feel what is physical

But also to experience

A constant symphony of emotions

And to share all of that with others

I recognize my value is innate

And not found in what I do

How much I make

Nor what others think of me

I unsubscribe from the hustle mentality

That tells me that busyness

Gives me significance and yet robs me

Of the vibrance of living

Simply being is enough
