The Path of Life Lyrics

When you embark on the path you're inclined to take

First steps seem perfect and too easy at first

but just wait

Eventually you'll come across big boulders

Logs and uphills along your way

And as for advice here's what I have to say

You can cherish and admire the beautiful plants

And pebbles as you walk past

But leave them there let some be

Because if you carry too many it will become too heavy

And not all experiences are meant to last

As for the big boulders attempt to carry them

And it would take a lifetime to reach your destination

Besides they're too heavy for your shoulders

If you stop and sit on the logs blocking your way

You'll never get there in time

And then nobody will want to sit with you

And help you eat your bucket of limes

If a log is so large that it blocks the entire path

Then you might as well turn around and let out a laugh

For if you sit on the log and waste away all your days

Then I'm sorry to tell you but in the game of life

That's just not how one successfully plays
