We burned it all down, time and time again

Now it's a few thousand acres holding the line

Between the bustling city, the pride of the northcountry man

And the people to the south, silently taking in

The greenest of fields, the fog and the dew

The glorious remnants, a land we once knew

It's amazing to see, just what we had then

It's good to be back, back in The Unlands again

The monks used to walk, across these fields and back

For hundreds of years, their steps formed the only track

Straight through the marshes, straight through the rushes and reeds

Right there in the middle of a wildlife fantasy

There's a tower up ahead, rising out from the trees

Once there was a statue, now there's a mystery

Off in the distance, see the city crawl in.

But the people they know, that these lands have always been

A beacon of hope, not to ignore

Keeping the water, away from their door

It's the push and the pull of nature and men

It's good to back, back in The Unlands again
